Community Outreach
At Ferry Tales Youth Theater, we believe theater is more than a stage—it’s a way to connect, serve, and invest in the community we call home. Over the past several years, our organization has actively partnered with local schools, nonprofits, and community events to bring creativity, joy, and support to families across Sneads Ferry and Onslow County.
Our students and team regularly participate in community events such as the Holly Ridge Bee Festival, Sneads Ferry Shrimp Festival Parade, Christmas in the Ferry Tree of Lights, and local Trunk-or-Treat celebrations. We’ve collaborated with organizations like Onslow Parks & Recreation, Jaryn’s Dance Academy, and Harper Rose for community events including Easter celebrations, homeschool programming, and back-to-school initiatives.
In addition to performances and appearances, we are committed to giving back through service and support. Ferry Tales Youth Theater has contributed raffle items and fundraising support to local businesses, organizations, and families in need, including Sneads Ferry Community Center events, local fundraisers, and community-wide initiatives. Our students have also participated in service opportunities such as beach cleanups and volunteering with local arts organizations.
We value educational outreach as well, offering literacy-based engagement like Dr. Seuss readings at the library, participating in library-hosted community events, and organizing field trips for students to experience live theater productions such as Annie, Newsies, and The Music Man Jr.
Through every partnership, performance, and act of service, Ferry Tales Youth Theater is proud to play a meaningful role in strengthening our community and creating opportunities for young people to grow, give back, and shine.
